Interesting letter sent by Nicky Flux, from SLNMB, setting out the requirements to become one of their Panel Solicitors for representing them in signing up customers for their Turnkey Cash Release Mortgages. Alas, Nicky has forgotten to mention that they cannot operate in Spain because they have not duly applied for regulatory authorization!
Nicky, you should have made your Panel Lawyers aware that your company furthered a type of banking “piracy” in Spain because your company robbed innocent people of their wealth and health, not to mention the implications of making peaceful British expats accomplices of a tax fraud scheme.
Oh, we forgot to add that €500 to represent your company for acting illegally in Spain is hardly a fair emolument, SLMB’s so tight that it squeaks!
How many times have we seen this type of cash inducement to con the British ex-pat community into gambling their hard earned pensions. I am just amazed that the Spanish Lawyers did not take the time out to examine closely what this entailed. I suppose this was the year that the Spanish and World Economy was booming, with property prices at their height. Everyone but everyone was clambering to get on the cash band waggon, at the expense of the pensioners. It has been stated many times in the past that these schemes were nothing more than tax evasion products. As SLM would or should have known, certainly the Spanish Lawyers would have known yet they went merrily on their way to capture unsuspecting victims. SLM would have been aware that these schemes were outlawed in the UK, yet still they peddled their products in Spain. It really is an absolute disgrace.
Oh dear Nicky, what were you thinking about when you became involved in this fraudulent tax evading scheme. I wonder, if you had parents living in Spain, would you have advised them to risk all their money and your Inheritance on such a product. Presuming of course that you have or had parents. Whichever GOD you worship, may I suggest that you ask for forgiveness. At the same time talk with your peers and ask them to solve the problems of those affected in Spain, it is quite easy. Just put them back in the position they were before the CON.
